Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026 · Draft

TRAX is operated by Bianca Ruehlig, sole proprietor ("TRAX", "we", "us"), [registered address]. This policy lists every cookie TRAX sets, what it's for and how long it lasts, and what's kept in your browser.

1. Cookies TRAX sets

TRAX sets five cookies of its own: to sign you in, to remember the project you were last in, and one that lets TRAX record your usage while you're signed in, on its public pages too (see the Privacy Policy). TRAX sets no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Cookies TRAX sets
CookieWhat it doesHow long
sl_sessionKeeps you signed in (secure, not readable by scripts)7 days
trax_siTells TRAX you're signed in, so your usage is recorded on its public pages too7 days
trax_ctxRemembers the project you were last working in, so Rights and other pages reopen it60 days
sl_view_asAdmins only: viewing TRAX as a member to help them1 hour
sl_trial_revealOpens a trial link someone sent you15 minutes

2. Counting visits

For people who aren't signed in, visits to TRAX's public pages are counted without cookies: the page, country, device type and where the visit came from, and presses of a few buttons (like playing a demo video), with nothing that identifies you. When you're signed in, your usage is recorded as the Privacy Policy describes.

3. What's kept in your browser

TRAX also keeps a few things in your browser, on that device only:

  • Local storage: choices, so they're there next time (for example Spin Sampler's view and where you left off, where you put The Loop, the AI Hub's choices, Master TRAX's ambient music, whether to tag captures with a location, your Help votes and notices you've dismissed). Settings that belong to your account, like Spin Sampler's, are also kept with your account.
  • Local storage, if you open a packet someone shared: a random id for your browser, sent with that visit's engagement (time on the page, how far you read, printing).
  • Session storage: a random id for this browser session, sent with usage events so they group together.
  • IndexedDB: captures waiting to upload (the recording, its transcript and any location tag, removed once uploaded), and any older Spin demo take waiting for you to sign in.
  • A service-worker cache of the app's files and its offline page, so TRAX opens without a connection. Your pages are never cached.

4. Clearing them

Clearing your browser's site data for TRAX removes all of these.

5. Other services' cookies

  • Stripe: when you subscribe, the checkout runs on Stripe's own pages, which use Stripe's cookies.
  • YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) and Vimeo: help videos load from them only when you press play, and they may then set their own cookies.
  • OpenStreetMap: the calendar map loads its map tiles from OpenStreetMap; nothing about your account is sent.

6. Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block TRAX's sign-in cookies, you won't be able to sign in.
